Dial Up Service (PPP)

I live off-campus and want to dial up to Simon's Rock. How do I set up a dial up connection?

Simon's Rock maintains several phone lines and modems for such use. These lines are primarily intended for use by students. Faculty and staff looking for an Internet connection should consider getting a local ISP. Because there are few phone lines, dial up connections are limited to three hours. If you are disconnected, you will need to wait for 10 minutes before reconnecting.

The phone number to dial is 528-7402 (or 1-413-528-7402). Additionally, you may need to specify the DNS Servers which are 64.209.120.70 and 64.209.120.69. Instructions for specific operating systems follow.
